The recent Typhoons Ondoy (KETSANA) & Pepeng (PARMA) has left Luzon paralyzed, severely affecting our food security. According to our DA Chief, 16K hectares crops in Cagayan were lost to ‘Pepeng.’ Even if the Philippines is ready to import rice and other food items, until the end of the year, we are not sure if prices will remain stable.
